What we collect

Nothing from your Marketplace browsing. MarketClean does not collect, transmit, sell, or share Marketplace page data. The extension has no analytics, no telemetry, no error reporting, and no remote configuration.

All filter logic runs inside your browser, on the Marketplace page you're currently viewing. Listing text is read from the DOM, evaluated against your rules, and the decision — show, hide, or fade — is applied in place.

The marketing site uses privacy-respecting aggregate analytics to measure page visits, CTA clicks, FAQ opens, and proof-media interactions. This site analytics layer does not receive your Marketplace browsing data or your filter contents.

Chrome permissions

Each permission exists for a specific, narrow purpose:

• Host permission on facebook.com/marketplace — read and modify only Marketplace pages. The extension is blocked from all other sites.
• activeTab — access the page you're currently on when you invoke the extension.
• storage — save your settings on your device.
• scripting — reinject the filter code when Facebook switches routes without a full reload.
• webNavigation — detect those SPA route changes so filters stay active.

The extension is strictly read-only on Facebook. It does not click, post, message, save, or automate anything on your behalf.

Third parties

The extension has no third-party integrations — no SDKs, no ad networks, and no CDNs fetched at runtime. The marketing site uses Vercel Web Analytics for aggregate page and interaction metrics. Fonts are resolved from your system; stylesheets ship inside the extension package.

MarketClean is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Meta Platforms. "Facebook" and "Marketplace" are trademarks of their respective owner and are referenced only to describe what the extension works on.

Children

MarketClean is not directed at children under 13, and because it collects no data, it has no mechanism to identify any user — child or otherwise.

Your rights

There is no personal data held by us that you could request, export, or delete — because none exists on any server we operate. Local data on your device is under your control: clear it from the popup's advanced options, or uninstall the extension to remove everything at once.

Changes to this policy

If this policy ever changes, the updated version will be published here with a new "Last updated" date. Substantive changes — for example, adding any form of data collection — would be called out explicitly in the extension's release notes before taking effect.
